Naomi House & Jacksplace

We’ve been aware of the wonderful work Naomi House and Jacksplace have done for many years, admiring the support they provide to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses and of course their families too.

As a team we wanted to help or contribute in some way; a number of our own sites are in the areas covered by Naomi House and Jacksplace and we’re passionate about supporting our local communities. Following some research and conversations about what we could do that would be beneficial to the charity we are delighted to confirm that we have officially made Naomi House and Jacksplace our charity of choice and we’re all proud to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.

Naomi House and Jacksplace provide care to more than 325 life-limited and life-threatened children and young people (along with their extended families) across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight. The work they do is amazing, ranging from (emergency and planned) respite care, end-of life care and bereavement support, working closely with other services in their local communities. They don’t put a time limit on the support they offer, standing by families for as long as necessary. But of course, all of this comes at a cost; approximately £8.5 million to put a figure on it. That’s a huge amount of money and with just 9% provided by the Government and statutory services there is a reliance on the generosity of others to sustain the hospices by helping them raise the outstanding £8million!

We’re currently providing storage facilities for the hospices and will work with them to see what else we can do moving forward. We hope that the support and resources we are able to provide the charity go some way to enabling them to continue and hopefully extend the support they are able to offer.
